-Photos must have a connection that can be defined
-Photos must further explore something about your artistic style discovered in 31 nights
THeme
When I showed my family my 31 nights photos and asked them to identify my artistic style, they collectively decided it could be described as “deadpan melancholy noir.” In class, people described my style as funny with odd combinations. So, my working theme for my portfolio for the rest of the semester will be “ironic noir” with a humorous element and minimal editing.

The pictures above utilize high contrasts in editing, as well as in the actual subjects of the photos. When I say ironic, I more mean subjects which normally would not be together. Objects in the foreground may contrast objects in the background, etc. This adds a really interesting element to photos that I would like to try and recreate. Additionally, I now know that noir photos are edited with a high contrast. I'm not planning on making all of my pictures black and white, these are just the ones I happened to find.
